Who We Are
Cairnlea Parish Church is a newly united church brought about by the Union of Broomknoll Parish Church and Flowerhill Parish Church in January 2016. The newly formed Cairnlea Parish Church now occupy the site of the former Flowerhill. (Our building)
This is a very exciting time for the Church in Airdrie and for our Parish which now takes in Gartlea and Cairnhill.
Together as church, we meet for worship – teaching, prayer and the breaking of bread.
Together as church, we harness different people’s gifts and time – so that there might be care of young and old; stewardship of money and buildings; opportunities to build friendships and support networks.
Anyone can be part of this. Strength will be found as we join in regularly – taking on being Christian, both in Cairnlea and at work and at home.
Morning Worship
Sunday Worship is at 11:00 am in the Sanctuary and usually takes the form of items of praise, prayer, children’s talk, Bible reading and a sermon based on God’s Word.
The praise is taken from a wide range of sources and the words are projected onto a large screen as well a 3 monitors along visibility from anywhere in the sanctuary.
There is
> a loop system in place for those with hard of hearing.
> wheel chair access to downstairs in the sanctuary and all meeting rooms and halls.
> a Funday Club for the children of school age. They leave for their activities just before the sermon and return to the church family towards the end of the service.
An offering is uplifted as part of the service and goes to help the work of the church locally, nationally and internationally.
